ST0029 - Payroll Administrator (CAN / US)

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full cycle preparation of US and Canadian payrolls for multiple controls across North America.
  • Prepare and issue payroll remittances including, but not limited to, quarterly returns, 401k, RRSP, Employee Share Ownership Plan.
  • Process Records of Employment, W2’s, T4’s and other required payroll documents.
  • Ensure related financial / payroll reconciliation and journal entries are prepared on a timely basis and differences are cleared promptly and accurately.
  • Provide support to the finance department.
  • Actively participate in ongoing management reporting from the US and Canadian Payroll Platforms, including month-end and year-end activities.
  • Respond effectively to payroll requests from government agencies and auditors.
  • Accurately maintain payroll data including, but not limited, to information related to employee new hires, terminations, commissions, expenses, benefits, 401K’s and RRSP’s.
  • Ensure compliance with government legislation (US and Canada).
  • Responsible for Tax Registration to ensure appropriate State unemployment taxes are withheld and remitted in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • FPC and PCP certification is a definite asset.
  • 3 years of payroll processing experience US and Canada.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
